To celebrate our Platinum Jubilee, in Art we decided to celebrate different artists from each decade for the 70 Years of Challoner. Bridget Riley rose to fame during the swinging 60s, and we decided to celebrate her, and her style as one of the iconic artists representing that vibrant decade of our past. 

During this lesson, pupils created their own op art tiles using black acrylic paint and geometrical templates which created a spectacular collaborative art piece with the entire year group. 

These final designs were turned into a geometric wallpaper piece, retro lamp shades, and unusual geometric framed pieces, which looked incredible in our retro living room art installation.
