Dear Parents/Carers,
We are reviewing our school uniform policy, so we can be sure we are securing best value for money for parent/carers.
In line with national guidance and in consultation with suppliers we have been able to secure a second uniform retailer and reduce the cost of some items. We already benefit from having minimal branded items that are required as part of both of school uniform and PE kit and during a time where many costs are rising, our suppliers have maintained the cost of items.
A summary of the proposed amendments are detailed below and some helpful images of uniform items are also shown.
Suppliers |
Clive Mark will continue to supply all items of uniform, this can be purchased online or in store. We are also pleased to have secured a second supplier in Trutex. All items of school uniform will also be available to purchase online only at https://www.trutex.com/ . We will inform you of the date that uniform will be available from them. |
Compulsory branded/school specific items |
There are only 4 compulsory branded items that are required- Blazer, tie, PE polo shirt, PE shorts or leggings There will be the option to purchase plain black blazers and sew on badges if preferred. Badges will be on sale from school at a cost of £2. |
Compulsory generic items |
The following items of school uniform can be purchased from a range of retailers (including from low-cost outlets), they do not have to be purchased from the school suppliers. Shirts, trousers, skirts, socks, shoes, outdoor coats, school bags. |
Optional items |
Optional PE uniform items will be available from the school suppliers only. Branded ¼ zip midlayer and branded or unbranded jogging pants |
Summer uniform |
In order to further reduce expense, there will be no requirement for students to wear a branded summer shirt from this year. Summer uniform will be permitted after May half term. It will not be compulsory for students to wear a blazer, they will be able to wear just a shirt and tie. If a second layer is required, it must be a blazer and not any other item such as a hoody or outdoor coat. Girls will be permitted to wear flesh coloured or black tights. All other uniform requirements will remain unchanged. |
We would like your feedback on the proposed amendments detailed above.
