Battle of the Bands

 

Dear Parent/Carer

I am delighted to inform you of the forthcoming Bishop Challoner ‘Battle of the Bands’.

I am sure that your child has told you about this event, but just in case they haven’t, the details are as follows: Thursday 13th July from 7:30pm until 9:30pm (hopefully!) in St Dunstan’s Social Club.

If your child wishes to attend the event to support the student acts, they can purchase 1 ticket from schoolcomms (details below). You will need to give parental consent to attend the event and make us aware of how they will be getting home afterwards. Tickets cost £5. All profits will be going to the school charity St Chad’s Sanctuary.

If you wish to accompany your child, please could you make this clear on SchoolComms? These tickets also cost £5 and will be purchased in cash on the door.

Please consent via schoolcomms, click on the ‘Battle of the Bands TICKETS’ event and provide parental permission and details of how your child will return home afterwards. You can also indicate how many people will be attending to accompany your child.

The audience will vote for the band they thought was the best and the winning band will receive £200 worth of recording time at Robannas Studios in the city centre, who are sponsoring the event.

We are excited that the event will feature 7 student bands and one staff act. The end time of the event is difficult to predict as song lengths and changeover times are as yet unknown but we are aiming for 9:30pm. Please could you arrange with your child how they will be returning home afterwards, if you are not attending?
